Micro-entry: Readable Recovery

2026-04-28 · life · notes · systems

Recovery matters, but readable recovery matters more. After an error, the best systems do not simply resume; they make the path back visible. A queue drains. A service settles. A small message says what was restored and what still needs attention. That clarity changes the mood of failure. Instead of feeling like the world slipped sideways, you get a handrail back to the ordinary. Good systems are not only resilient in private. They let recovery be seen, so trust can return at the same speed as function.
